Shooting

Your trip with Orkney Shooting Holidays will be tailored to you, whether it is your first time or you’re a seasoned shooter.

During Morning Flights you will shoot geese over decoys. We arrive before first light to set up, where we will be positioned in ditches, behind stone walls and ruins, in hides, layout blinds or gorse bushes.

We will call and decoy geese as they arrive to feed. The main quarry you will shoot on these mornings will be Greylag and Pinkfooted geese however morning Duck flights can be arranged when booking.

During Evening Flights you can shoot Greylag and Pinkfooted geese on flightliens back to roost or Ducks (Wigeon, Teal and Mallard) and Geese (Greylag and Pinkfoot) over fed ponds.

We work closely with our own trained gun dogs during morning and evening flights to retrieve birds. You are also welcome to bring and use your own dogs.

We are happy to help with booking accommodation and travel to make your journey to Orkney hassle free and easy.
